Village Idiot Productions proudly presents THE POTION KINGS with the FLYING FELLINI BROTHERS!
Any suggestion of circus, surrealism, film and music is entirely intentional. The Village Idiots invite you to join the show by dressing up and bringing your own special talents with you.
Regulars of Village Idiots events are familiar with the Potion Kings: Kevin Breit on guitar, Jeff Bird on bass and Randall Coryell and Howie Southwood on drums and percussion. Accompanying the Kings is Potion Queen Gwen Swick on her magic megaphone.
And appearing for this one night only are the Flying Fellini Brothers, Denis Keldie on accordian and Matt Brubeck on cello.
Denis Keldie
Denis Keldie has over 200 CD projects to his credit, with artists such as Natalie McMaster, Jeff Healey, Prairie Oyster, Rita Coolidge, Ry Cooder, Jesse Cook, Stompin’ Tom, Quartette, and Etta James. He has performed on television and made live appearances with The Rankins, Colin James, Jann Arden, Amy Sky, Ashley McIsaac, and many others.
In 2002 he released “Rainy Day Sunshine”, a fundraising CD produced for the Look Good-Feel Better Foundation, who help women deal with the appearance-related side effects of chemotherapy.
Matt Brubeck
In the pop/rock world, Matt tours with the Dixie Chicks, Sheryl Crow, and the Indigo Girls, as well as performing and recording with Tom Waits, Sarah McLachlan, Natalie MacMaster, Tracy Chapman and others.
Matt is a composer and performer specializing in improvisation on the cello.
