On Saturday, February 11, the village idiots invite you to the second annual project love, a night of rhythm and blues.
We know it's close to Valentine's Day, but no need to get bogged down with finding a date... If you've got somebody handy, that's good, you can bring them along, but otherwise, come alone or with any other consenting person(s) of your acquaintance.
We welcome back Love Maestro Douglas Watson (vocals and bass), with the inimitable Chris "Lotta Love" Latta (guitar), Mark "Passionista" Lalama (keyboards), and Groove King Randall Coryell (drums).
Douglas Watson grew up in Chicago, surrounded by the blues. His father Lovie Lee (Eddie Watson) played piano in the last Muddy Waters band. You can hear Douglas featured along with Bonnie Raitt and Stevie Ray Vaughan on A.C. Reed’s recording, “I’m in the Wrong Business”.
Douglas was nominated for best new artist at 2011 Maple Blues Awards. Give him a listen at http://www.douglaswatson.com/.
